A team canvas.
Or a solo edit.
Kapwing is built around team collaboration, templates, and stock media. Sapari is built around one creator, a recording, and an AI pass that does most of the edit before you open the project.

Honest roadmap
What's coming. What's not.
Kapwing's distinctive features are team-first. Two of them are on Sapari's roadmap. The rest are a different product shape — and they're not in Sapari's plan.
If shared libraries and templates are the reason Kapwing fits today, those are coming to Sapari. Team collaboration, stock footage, and comment threads aren't planned — those are what Kapwing is for and we're not trying to replace that.

Honest
Stay on Kapwing if…
- → Your team works on the same videos together — comments, shared canvas, review threads are how you operate.
- → Templates and stock footage are core to your output, not optional extras.
- → You build designed content with multiple editors and need the collaboration surface every day.
Kapwing is built for collaborative team editing. If that's how your work actually happens, it's the right tool.
Before you ask
Common questions.
Can I share a Sapari project with a teammate? +
Shared asset libraries are on the roadmap. Full team collaboration around a single project — comments, review threads, multi-editor canvas — isn't planned. If that's central to how your team works, Kapwing is the better fit.
Does Sapari have templates? +
Not yet. Editing templates — including beat-synced placement and community-shared ones — are on the roadmap. Today Sapari edits your recorded content directly; it doesn't build designed clips from templates.
Can I use both? +
Yes. Some creators edit the recording in Sapari (silence, retakes, audio, captions, B-roll) and then bring the exported MP4 into Kapwing for team review or template overlay. The two tools don't overlap much.
Does Sapari have a mobile editor? +
Yes — the full editor runs in a phone browser. Timeline, waveform, edit cards, captions, B-roll — touch-optimized, not a stripped-down companion app.
Is Sapari cheaper than Kapwing? +
Depends on the tier. Sapari's Creator plan is $15/month annual with 600 AI minutes and 25 GB storage, single-seat. Compare against Kapwing's Pro or Business tiers for your specific seat count and needs.
